Video of HAmhuis Concussion

I would be concussed too if i got hit by a dual collission of Bieksa and Rick NAsh. There's a lot of people suggesting that it's HAmhuis's shoulder. To which I reply, "have you been smoking crack?" Hamhuis has had three concussions in his career and he definitely rushed back after the one he was given by Getzlaf. He was barely gone a month which probably wasn't long enough to get rid of all the symptons.

The good news is that we finally have a use for Chris Tanev again. The bad news is that this could be a lingering problem for Hamhuis. Hopefully he will be ready to return by the first round of the playoffs, because the combination of him and Bieksa really was working great.

brian burke is a fag

so tom kabs didnt get traded. burke tried to get everyone psyched on his name but it didnt work. now burke has publically said he wants to try and resign tom kabs. why? so we can have another three years of trade rumours? even if tom kabs didnt get traded, it may help the canucks move bieksa, because now he is the most valuable defenseman on the trade block. i am impartial to trading bieksa. if we trade him we can get a decent third liner that can develop into a second liner. and if we dont trade him then we have extreme defensive depth and dont have to worry about injuries.

leafs fans were retarded and though tom kabs could go for malone and a first. other rumours had joe thornton for tom kabs. with one year left on his contract those moves would be idiotic for tb or sj. they are just living proof that leafs fans are off in their own little reality world.

a realistic trade for bieksa would be: bieksa to sj for set o' hands (maybe thats unrealistic too). or bieksa to edmonton for brule. or bieksa to columbus for filatov. i would be happy with any of those trades.

Battle of Western Canada Last Night

Calgary Played Washington and won 2-1. The first goal by the Flames was trickling across the line, and Bertuzzi almost touched it to add his 6th goal in 6 games, but it crossed the line before he could leave the mark on the scoreboard. Iginla got credit for the goal, which gives him 2 on the season.



Interestingly enough, BErtuzzi is a -4 and Iginla is a -6. This makes sense, considering many of their goals are scored on the powerplay, and don't factor into the +/- differential. But it seems like some better defensive play is going to be needed from these lines. Also, Bertuzzi is going to have to score 2 goals next game, to stay on his pace to be the first player to score 50 goals in 50 games since Brett Hull did it in 1990-91.

Canucks lost 4-2 to Columbus. The only silver lining is Bieksa looked great. He had a great fight and a goal. Two years ago, Bieksa looked like he might develop into a Phaneuf, but last year he was plagued by injuries, and when he did play he blew chunks. So far this season he has not been great, but by stepping up his physical game he might find himself more capable of getting his mental edge back. check out this fight, it is going to be a favorite on hockeyfights.com:



Luongo only let in 3 goals, because one of columbus's goals was scored on an empty net. On 32 shots he had 29 saves. These are pretty good numbers. But he still let in 2 goals in the first 10 minutes, and this is hard for a team to recover from.
