I don't think there has ever been a season to my memory where either the Flames or the Canucks have won the season series against the other this early in the season. But that is precisely what the Canucks have done with their 4-3 win on Saturday night. The win was the Canucks fourth against the Flames in 5 games this season, with one remaining game on the final day of the season. One would fair a guess that the April 5th Game will have a Playoff position on the line for the Flames and the Presidents Trophy for the Canucks. Both will be fighting for very different things, but both will be looking to get the win. At the same time, by April 5th the Flames may have fallen out of playoff contention and the Canucks could have long ago secured the President's Trophy. You just don't know the way both teams have been playing this year.
