Contrary to what Hosh stated, I personally think the Flames need to win the rest of the games.
First of all, I think the Flames need to have a good momentum going into the playoffs. I think the Flames need to end the season on a strong note and by doing so they will carry it forward to the playoffs with a sense of confidence.
Secondly, by winning the rest of the games they will have more trust on the lines they have and will decrease the likelihood of any significant shake up of the lines. This will maintain any chemistry that's developing currently that will only work in the Flames' favour.
I really should listen in class so I will leave it at that.

Hey if the flames lose those last two games on purpose they won't feel bad about losing. Therefore it wouldn't hurt their momentum.

ReplyDeleteThe thing is, I can guarantee they won't win both those games in edmonton. So if they lose when they were trying to win, that would hurt their confidence way more than losing when they didnt care. In fact, whatcould possibly be more confident thatn losing on purpose. That's literally saying "we're so good we don't even need to win to prove it"
