HUDAAAAAANGLIUS

Not sure if anyone has mentioned that that's the official nickname of Kristian Huselius, but it is. Anyway, I was at the Calgary game against the Blue Jackets the other day and had the privledge of seeing the Hudangler dangling in person for the first time since he left Calgary. He played extremely well, and I got to see several vintage Hudangius moves that I remember from when he played in Calgary. The thing that shocked me was that the entire building booed him everytime he had the puck. Seriously guys, Hudanglius does not deserve the same treatment from Calgary fans that say, oh I don't know, Todd Bertuzzi gets from Colorado fans. Sure, Hudanglius was very streaky at times and let us down at the end of last year, but he still immensely exceeded the expectations people had of him when he first came here, and gave us a hell of a lot of great memories of his insane stick handling skills. He was easily the most purely skilled player Calgary has had in years, and was a lot of fun to watch. And in the end, it was the Flames who decided they could no longer afford him on the team, not the other way around. So I for one will continue to remember the good times with Hudanglius, and would encourage the rest of you to do the same. Best of luck in the future Hudanglius! -I'm pretty sure he reads this blog.

-Hosh
