bob Gainey is probably really happy that this is happening right now. it will shift the fans attention away from his major blunder with kovalev. first he asks kovalev to sit out because he isn't playing good. then he starts kovalev trade rumours. then the team loses three straight. then he asks kovalev to come back because there are no other options (nobody wants to trade for kovalev and the habs are worse without him).
