Fabian decided to play for Dallas, during the Stars playoff run last season. He wasn't eligible to join the team, until this years pre-season. In the pre season he had 3 points in 6 games, however the Stars decided to bench him for the first 2 games of the regular season. Yesterday he joined the team in his first game, and netted a hatrick. That means he is on pace to score 240 goals this season. It must be really exciting to be a Dallas stars fan today. Knowing that your team has got a legitimate scoring threat out of nowhere.

Brunnstrom was considered one of the best players not to be playing in the NHL last year. In his NHL draft year (2003) he was passed over and not selected. Last year he had 73 points in 41 games over in Sweden. So its not surprise this boy wanted to come play in the big league. He could have chosen to play anywhere in the league because he was considered a free agent. Last year, Dave Nonis, wanted to get him to Vancouver. But after Nonis was fired, Brunnstrom backed away from Vancouver (not necessarily related to Dave Nonis, because Dave Nonis is not that great of a guy) and chose Dallas instead.
