Canucks trade D Lukas Krajicek, and RW Juraj Simek, for D Shane O'Brien and RW Michelle Oulett. This is a trade where you replace two non-key players with two more non-key players. The two defensemen in the trade, Kraijeck and O'Brien, are both RFA's next season making 1 millionish this season. O'Brien was only a -1 on the tampa bay lightning last season.
The Canucks recieved Oullett who looks promising in the future. He had 17 goals and 36 points in in 64 games last season. The season before in Pittsburgh he had 19 goals in 73 games. Those are pretty good numbers for some guy that i've barely hear of. Oullett will report to the farm team.
Flames Place three on waivers. Anders Erikson, Jamie Lundmark and Rhett Warrener. Most of these guys were already waved in the summertime, and nobody took them. With Rhett Warrener gone, Bertuzzi has the option of wearing number 44 again.
